Early Life

On October 13th, 1997, Marquise Jackson was born to parents 50 Cent and Shaniqua Tompkins. During his early years, everything appeared to be going great. In 2009, Marquise’s mother Shaniqua sued her former husband 50 Cent, claiming he had gone back on his commitment to “look after” her for life.

Around that time Marquise was just 12 years old. As the subsequent court case unfolded, the judge dismissed Shanqiua’s demands for $50 Million. Instead, the judge ordered that the hip-hop artist 50 Cent will provide $25,000 per month in child support to Shaniqua until Marquise’s 18th Birthday in 2015.

Marquise attended a couple of different schools including King’s Ridge Christian School in Atlanta. He then transferred to the St John’s Military School in Delafield Wisconsin for his senior year.

During his final year in high school, Marquise impressed by putting in an average of around 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per game as a guard. However, he didn’t receive much in terms of recruitment despite doing everything he could to put on a show at the National Prep Showcase.

Career

After his high school graduation in the mid-2010s, Marquise decided to not go to college after his dad 50 Cent refused to pay for it. Instead, he shifted his priorities from basketball to hip-hop.

At the age of 20, Marquise released his very first song titled “Different” in 2017. He continued to release more tracks including “Just Another Freestyle”, Follow Your Heart”, “Beast Mode”, and “I’ll Be Fine”, among others.

Outside of music, Marquise also tried his hand at acting and appeared in various documentaries about his father 50 Cent. In 2017 he made his appearance in the film “Dope Friend”.

In 2017, Marquise opened up about his relationship with his father during an interview with Wrap-up. He stated that “his father wasn’t around enough, growing up his dad was his superhero”.

At the age of 15 Marquise had invited his father over to his mother’s place to hang out. But when 50 Cent showed up, Marquise was nowhere to be found. He sent his son a series of angry text messages saying to him “Don’t have a son anymore, delete my number“.

While Marquise’s relationship with his dad was falling apart, he was still a teenager. Marquise decided to establish himself in a field outside of his father 50 Cent’s shadow. He first became interested in the sport of basketball from an early age.

In 2017 his relationship with his father continued to get worse. Marquise posted a picture of himself hanging out with 50 Cent’s longtime enemy “Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff “. After this 50’s relationship with his son was over.

Personal Life

Marquise’s feud with his dad reached dramatic new heights in the following months. It started when Marquise jumped onto Instagram Live. He revealed in a conversation with musical artist Choke No Joke, that as far as he was concerned $6700 a month his father provided him with child support throughout his teenage.

The following day Marquise doubled down on his original statement by posting a picture to Instagram where he spelled out the word entitled in a series of banknotes. There was an allusion to a picture of 50 Cent himself. 50 had posted to Instagram years ago when he was facing reports of bankruptcy.

In the description of his image, Marquise offered to pay his father $6700 for just 24 hours of his time so that the two of them could finally get to do everything Marquise wanted to do with them as a kid. From that point forward, TMZ got in touch with Marquise to speak with them if he was serious about the offer to his father.

Marquise responded by telling the media outlet that Not only was he serious, but he’d also actually pay more if necessary in the hopes that all this one day would lead to a better understanding between the both of them.

50 Cent told TMZ that if Marquise was serious about preparing for a broken relationship, then he should reach out privately and not through news outlets or social media.
