Early Life
Mike and Chris Fiscella were born in the states of New Jersey and Florida respectively. As the older of the two siblings, Mike had 3 years in Jersey to enjoy his childhood before Chris was born.
Afterward, the family moved to Florida where they spent the next 9 years of their lives. In 2009, the family moved yet again, this time to Houston, Texas and they’ve called that spot home ever since.

Their father is a former professional soccer player, he tried gently to push his sons toward the idea of becoming athletes. However, Mike and Chris decided to pursue their careers in music.
Career
When they first discovered their passion for music, the brothers absorbed influences from acts like Tame Impala, Guns N’ Roses, Tyler the Creator, and the rock band Blink-182. As the brothers grew older they started their professional careers Mike became an audio engineer and Chris began writing songs.
Once their music started flowing they realized that they were able to create a prolific amount of work with one another’s help. In 2019 Mike and Chris eventually teamed up to form the band called “Hotel Ugly.”
When Mike and Chris came together just before the Pandemic, they knew that they needed the name. They settled on calling themselves “Hotel Ugly” based on a real hotel location in Bryan, Texas.
Their first song together was called “On The Weekend” and shortly thereafter official release popped up on SoundCloud with titles like “AppleSauce,” “2ugly,” and “Mikey and the Frogs.”
