Early Life
Yvonne Nelson was born on November 12th, 1985 in Accra, Ghana, to parents Mr. O. Nelson and Margaret Gaddy. While growing up in Accra she went to study at the St. Martin De Porres academy before enrolling at Aggrey Memorial Senior High School.
Upon her high school graduation, Nelson obtained a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Central University College. In 2020 she wound up earning a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Institute of Management and Public Administration in Ghana.
Career
Nelson developed an interest in the entertainment industry and went on to participate in the 2005’s Miss Ghana pageant. However, she was not able to win the show. Later began auditioning for Ghanaian movies.
In 2007 Nelson eventually got her first film role in “Princess Tyra”, playing one of the lead roles with other stars. Following her success, she flew to Nigeria to make a name for herself in the Nollywood industry.
