Early Life
Manoj Kumar Shukla was born on February 27th, 1976, inGauriganj, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father was a farmer while his mother worked as a school teacher. Manoj graduated from HAL School Korwa. He always had an interest in writing poems from an early age.
His dad left his job in 1985 and from there, his mom began working as a school teacher to pay the bills. Manoj completed his further education at Allahabad University in 1999. After that, he moved to Mumbai to find a job for himself.
Before relocating to Mumbai, he changed his sr name to Muntashir. In this new city, he met singer Anup Jalota who gave him the chance to write for Kaun Banega Crorepati. At that time, he was making about 3,000 Indian rupees from his work.
Career
In 2004 Manoj began his professional career by writing songs for the film Rang Rasiya. However, the film was released later in 2014 due to some reasons. In the meantime, Manoj met the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Breakthrough
In 2005, he got a bigger opportunity to write for Kaun Banega Crorepati. Following that, Manoj continued writing scripts for popular Indian reality TV shows such as India’s Got Talent, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and Indian Idol Junior.
Later, he wrote songs for some hit Bollywood movies including Rustom, M.S Dhoni, The Untold Story, Genius, Kesari, Kabir Singh, and Vikram Vedha. Aside from working as a songwriter, Manoj also showcased his skills by writing popular dialog for films like Baahubali 2 and many more.
