Early Life
Ricky Hampton aka Finesse2tymes was born on June 10th, 1992, in Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up with his younger brother. Other than that, the rapper has managed to keep things private about his family due to his multiple legal issues.
While growing up, Hampton always had a passion for music which led him to pursue it professionally from an early age. After high school, he took his interest in music more seriously and began writing his own lyrics in the late 2010s.
Career
Finesse began his career by joining the rap group known as Memphis Greatest Underrated formed by Moneybagg Yo and Blac Youngsta. In 2016, the collective dropped their self-titled extended play.
Finesse was introduced to the mainstream for the first time when he released the song Goin Straight In in December of that year. That track currently sits at over 3.5 million views on YouTube.
Breakthrough
Finesse2tymes had a big break in 2019 when his mixtape Hustle & Flow came out. Following that, his music was booming but his friendship with rapper Moneybagg Yo began to crumble. Moneybagg was assigned to Yo Gotti who had beef with another rapper from the city named Young Dolph.

In 2007 he was arrested after being connected to a string of robberies and burglaries. Then in 2013, he was arrested once again for assaulting a woman. In the following year, the rapper found himself behind bars for assaulting another woman.
Later that year, he was taken into custody for the third time after assaulting his girlfriend and pushing her down on the ground. Shortly thereafter, police arrested Finesse on a 2 counter-indictment for two separate robberies for which he was given an 8-year sentence and was released in 2017.
In July of that year, the Memphis rapper was on stage performance at the Power Ultra Lounge nightclub where he and his crew got into an altercation with some other people in the building. He was sent to federal custody from where Finesses was released in July 2022.
