Carlos Edriel Poquiz Yulo was born in Manila, Philippines, on February 16th, 2000. He was raised in Leveriza Street, Malate by his parents Mark Andrew Yulo and Angelica Yulo. Carlos grew up alongside one older brother and three younger brothers.
His younger brother Drew also followed in the footsteps of Carlos and became a professional. He had a natural aptitude for gymnastics and began training at Aurora A. Quezon Elementary School.
