Early Life
Denzel was born in the city of Carol which is situated in the neighborhood of Miami Gardens Florida. He belongs to Native Americans and is Bahamian. His Birth name is Dezel Rae Do Curry and he was born on February 16, 1995. His mother used to be a Security manager of Stadiums her name was Jehova’s Witness. Curry’s father is a truck driver. When Curry was in the early years of his school he developed a strange intense interest in poetry. He used to read poetry from different books all day. But in 6th grade, he suddenly found rap attractive, and he started listening to different rappers. He used to visit a club of teenagers called “The Boys and Girls Club of America”.
Once he started writing his own raps he started challenging people for rapping bettels which is a pretty fun game for rappers and also audiences. Then he went to another school in Miami called “Design and Architecture High School”.Denzel Studied there for two years and then he got expelled. Then he went to another school situated in Miami. This school was”Miami Carol City Senior High School. In one of his interviews on TV he was interviewing with “The Breakfast Club”, Denzel said that he was sexually abused by a senior middle-aged man while he was in his school. This trauma still lives in him. He was depressed for months while being abused but he was never able to gather the courage and tell anyone. Also, he was afraid and that he was slowly healing from his past.

“King Remembered Underground Tape 1991-1995” was Denzel’s first tape released on September 24, 2011. He Worked on a group project called “Space Ghost Purp” which became a source to the career of Denzel’s Music career. He became a member of a group called “Raider Klan”. In 2012, the Second Mix tape of Denzel was released. The title of this tape was “King of the Mischievous South Vol. 1 Underground tape” released in 1996. He got lucky this time as this time an American rapper Earl Sweatshirt really liked his music by chance and not only him but also other members of the famous rapping group called “Odd Future”.

This person guided Denzel in his music. and then Denzel released his first solo album called “Dark and Violent” featuring J.K. Then later he made this sound available on SoundCloud. Personal Life
Denzel’s Brother Treon Tree Johnson Died tragically on February 27, 2014. It is said that he was being chased by the police of Florida in Hialeah. Also, there were rumors that he was beating two dogs with a pipe and someone reported it to the police. In order to arrest Johnson police had to use paper spray on him but still, he was not stopping so they used physical force on him and arrested him. At this time he got seriously injured and was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Johnson’s family claimed this incident was Police Brutality. Denzel has mentioned this incident in his music and also in some of his interviews. In 2022 Denzel stood with Palestine and refused to perform in Israel.
